Edenvale karateka Cristiano Coelho won gold in Kata at the Ekurhuleni Karate Trials on November 8, earning Regional, Provincial, and National Karate South Africa colours for the fourth consecutive year.
Edenvale karateka Cristiano Coelho recently received a gold medal for Kata when he competed at the Ekurhuleni Karate Trials on November 8.
As a result, he was awarded Regional, Provincial and National Karate South Africa colours for the fourth year in a row, and the Ekurhuleni Karate Federation Male Athlete of the Year award for 2025 at the EKF Awards Ceremony.

Coelho has also been selected as KSA Number 1 Kata Cadet in the 14- to 15-year-old category and is set to represent SA at the World Karate Federation Youth League in Fujairah, Dubai, in February 2026.
