Topless FC narrowly beat Tlama FC in closely contested match played at the Rhodes Park Sports Grounds on January 12.

The Tlama FC goalkeeper seemed out of sorts, as he kept making mistakes, giving the Topless FC players a sniff at goal. It was not long before the second goal came through a penalty.
A player from Tlama FC handled the ball in the 18-yard area and a player from Topless FC slotted the ball home to make it 2-0.
Tlama FC began piling on the pressure, looking for a goal. It took a controversial decision from the referee, who awarded Tlama FC a dubious penalty, for the team to score a goal.
A Tlama FC player stepped up and put the ball in the back of the net to make the score 2-1.
After the goal, Topless FC replaced their goalkeeper. The new ‘keeper was called into action almost immediately after another penalty was awarded to Tlama FC. The spot-kick was successful and the scores were levelled.
From there on the game was characterised by hard tackling from both teams, showing commitment to win the game. It was in the dying minutes of the game when a long kick forward bounced awkwardly, finding a quick Topless FC striker. He brought the ball down, rounded off the approaching Tlama FC ‘keeper and slotted the ball into an empty net to settle the game.
Topless FC won 3-2.
