Young golfer shines at BSI Junior Academy event

Mongezi Ntombini won the Balderstone Sport Institute’s (BSI) Junior Academy 18-Hole Medal by carding a 1-under-par 71.
Ntombini took to the field on the East Course at Royal Johannesburg on September 11.
Roger King, BSI’s head of marketing, said it has been an outstanding year for Mongezi.

“Mongezi has now claimed three medals in the BSI Junior Academy 18-Hole Medal competitions.
“His consistent improvement, quality of golf and commendable attitude both on and off the course have been a pleasure to watch, reflecting the hard work and commitment he continues to put into his development at BSI,” said King.
He added that Mongezi’s progress is a great example of the growth that can be achieved through consistent training, dedication and the right mindset.
“He continues to develop his game across all areas, while showing increasing confidence and maturity on the course.
“Mongezi is certainly a player to watch as he continues his golfing journey at BSI.”
