U/7 Wasps win league title

The Edenvale Wasps U/7 team recently finished at the top of their league.

On September 24, the team played the last games at the Edenvale Sports Grounds against the Diggers and Union Rugby teams.

According to Mr Bryan Walker, a proud parent of one of the rugby players, the U7s began training for the August rugby league in March.

“It’s been a long season, but we had a full quota of players for every game and they all loved every minute of the time they played,” said Mr Walker

Mr Smith said the team is at the entry level for Gauteng Golden Lions League.

“The future certainly looks bright with these eager rugby players,” said Mr Walker.
