Yes, there's one in Actonville but it's far, especially for people who live in Tambo and Emandleni. Our community is also underdeveloped. There still are people who live in shacks and are without water and electricity. The zama-zamas are destroying our town. People are starving. There's a community in the Eastern Cape that survives by hunting primates. That's how bad it is. So, our human rights are violated every day. Amanda Mataboge (Wattville): My rights are being violated by the very same government that created them. We have water shortages and load-shedding but when it suits the government, power stays on, especially if the president is addressing the country. There's poor services at government institutions, not enough man-power and resources in public schools, hospitals and clinics. Sheryl Naidoo (Farrarmere): As we commemorate this day, let us not be deceived by many professing equalities for all, but rather confront the harsh realities that confront us at every turn. For only through collective action and unwavering vigilance can we truly uphold the principles of justice and equality that underpin the essence of our humanity. Vangile Nkutha (Benoni Central): My main issue is water, which is right enshrined in our Constitution. We don't have water for days on end. We are also affected by load-shedding while in some provinces, there are still children who have to cross rivers to access school.
