Test will measure your business mindedness
The chamber will assess entrepreneurs through an online E-test which highlights your areas of strength.
The Aerotropolis Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Publicity is looking for entrepreneurs to train and to help get set up in their own businesses.
Chamber CEO Derek Fox explained that this programme is being done in partnership with the Dynamic Business StartUp programme.
“The chamber will assess entrepreneurs through an online E-test which highlights your areas of strength.
“Participants who score 60 per cent and above will be invited to participate in a 13-module entrepreneurial course, which will run over 13 weeks and give them a phenomenal hand-up into being a business owner,” said Fox.
So who should take this online E-test?
Fox recommends that the following candidates consider taking the test:
• Matriculants who are not sure of what they are going to do next year. The E-test will highlight where they need to focus. For instance, should their profile show a strong tendency for being in business for themselves, they will know they should go to university and focus on business-related studies.
• Learners who are going into Grade 10 next year, a pivotal time in their school careers where choosing the wrong subjects can influence career decisions. The test will provide good insight into their strengths.
• Anyone who shows a tendency to being an entrepreneur.
“Not everyone is and can be a business owner, and not everyone can and wants to be an employee,” Fox said.
“A quick test can change your life for the better!
“We are not looking to influence anyone’s plans unduly, though,” said Fox.
“As a chamber of commerce, we are looking to get business moving forward in the region, and for this to happen we need to identify people who are entrepreneur minded, who can start and manage businesses and who will, with chamber support, be able to grow those businesses and create job opportunities for residents of Ekurhuleni.
The online E-test costs R200.
