Crystal Park business helps Brakpan care centre

The residents would like to host more events like this in the future.

A fun day was held in Crystal Park by a local business owner who wanted to give the community a good time and donate the proceeds of the event to an orphanage.

Although the fun day was held at the end of June, the food and blankets were only handed over on Saturday (July 14) to the Leth’ukukhanya Care Centre in Brakpan.

Zandi Makheta, who owns Crystal Hair Designs and who initiated the project, decided to treat the community to a day of games for the young and elderly, coffee and cupcakes, DJ activities, lip sync and dance entertainment.

“We had a chess masters competition to crown the best of chess players,” Makheta said.

Tametrio Karelse won the competition.

A lucky draw was held after all activities were completed which Collin Jacobs, from Crystal Park, won.
