Learners get accounting tips
Benoni-based Boikano Accountants Incorporated has embarked on a programme to visit high schools, giving tips to learners who aspire to become accountants or auditors.

Director Peter Mosegare, who is a practicing auditor, accountant and business advisor, and South African Business Entrepreneurs Institute’s (SABEI) chairperson and founder, said they present programmes free of charge.
“We are proposing to present to as many public school as possible within Ekurhuleni,” said Mosegare.
The move was prompted by a number of CVs they have received from local matriculants and graduates.
“In their CVs, the applicants indicated their wish to become future accountants and auditors,” said Mosegare.
On the basis of the above, it became clear and explicit that the matriculants and graduates don’t understand or know what it takes to become a chartered accountant or an auditor.
“As part of our corporate social investment, we have put together slides, especially for the Grade Nine – 12 learners, just to share with them and also to assist them in their future career planning and choice,” he said.
The presentation is expected to take about an hour or so, depending on questions thereafter.
