Stone victorious in Benoni
Kevin Stone from Pretoria won the Sunshine "Big Easy Tournament" on Wednesday, July 10.

Benoni Country Club hosted the 2013 Sunshine “Big Easy” Golf Tour, on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 9 and 10.
The R100 000 event was decided over 36 holes of stroke play.
Kevin Stone, a 10-times Sunshine Tour Champion, carded 71 on Wednesday, to complete his first tour victory in seven years.
Stone (46) managed to win the tournament by one shot (138), ahead of Lindani Ndwandwe and Toto Thimba Junior (tied on 139).
The veteran of the Sunshine Tour said the windy weather conditions made things tough out on the course and getting the ball close to the pin proved difficult.
Stone was humbled by his victory and praised his competitors for an excellent tournament.
“They are all fantastic guys, who I am fortunate to play against,” he said.
He also thanked Benoni Country Club for hosting a great event.
Stone added that this win was “one for the old boys” and that his experience on the course may have been the deciding factor for his win.
“The youngsters today play fearless golf and hit the ball a long way, so it was not going to be easy for the older players,” he added.
The top 10 from the tournament are: 1 Kevin Stone 138, 2= Lindani Ndwandwe 139, 2= Toto Thimba (Jnr) 139, 4= Prinavin Nelson 141, 4= Attie Schwartzel 141, 4= Jaco Prinsloo 141, 4= Henk Alberts 141, 4= Otto van Greunen 141, 9= Daniel Hammond 142, 9= Pieter Moolman 142.
