Bosom buddies represent Benoni
Northvilla resident Jenny Seaton-Smith, and Farrarmere resident Kate Rheeders, want to prove that age is nothing but a number.

The two best friends, who are both in their 50s, will represent Benoni in the Caxton Reynolds Race 2013.
“We are very excited about the entire race, the sponsors and the prizes,” said Seaton-Smith, Eve Estates owner.
“I think I speak for both of us when I say it is not just a race, but a learning curve.”
“This competition will give us the opportunity to learn about our local heritage while having fun,” added Rheeders, a consultant and life-skills teacher.
The bubbly pair have been friends for about 15 years.
“We chose to take part in this race together because our personalities are very different, and we believe our differences will compliment each other,” said Rheeders.
Seaton-Smith describes herself as an adrenaline junkie, dynamic and a hard working person.
Rheeders says she’s open-minded, strong and very adventurous.
“As part of our bucket list we bought two Big Boy motor bikes last year and, depending on the level of the weekly tasks, we will complete the tasks on our Big Boys,” said Seaton-Smith.
They stand a chance to win a trip for four to Mauritius, sponsored by SA Reynolds Travel Centre, and could be the weekly winners of R5 000 Hirsch’s vouchers to spend at any Hirsch’s store.
“Applications for people who want to go to Mauritius with us if we win the grand prize are now open,” teased Rheeders.
Seaton-Smith added that family is very important to them, so a family member will be their first choice to take on the trip.
“Currently we are both renovating and expanding our homes, so the weekly prizes from Hirsch’s will also come in handy,” said Seaton-Smith.
Between them they have scuba dived, bungee jumped and travelled extensively.
“We hope we encourage women of our age group to be more adventurous and to try new things,” added Seaton-Smith.
“Our message to the other teams is: be afraid, be very afraid,” giggled the two friends.
“We would like to thank Caxton and the sponsors for giving us this opportunity, and the community of Benoni for the support we are going to receive from them,” they concluded.
The community can send the team messages of inspiration and support on their Facebook page, Benoni BFF’s.
