“Face Value Beauty Salon was founded in the back of a garage of my first home, when I was 25 years old offering, just the basics," said Gail Minott, explaining what her business is all about.
“I grew the salon into a 18-room beauty salon and spa, which was sold in July 2012.
“The new premises, with just me and my large clientele, are in Boatlake Village, Rynfield Extension 10, where I specialise in skin care.
“I offer manicures, pedicures, waxing, tinting, peels, mesotherapy, microneedling and many different facials; all in a stress-free, relaxed, home environment.
“I stock Filorga, Regime, Environ, Skin Medica, Dermafix and Dr Baumann products.
“The salon is about to undergo construction once again, to create more space and accommodate more treatments.
“I am extremely excited about my new premises, as I will have a beautiful view of the pan and its space will be more private and luxurious than what I have now.
“What makes my salon unique is my knowledge of skin care.
“I have had so much experience in my field of work for the last 23 years, and I constantly research and do the most up-to-date treatments, discarding those I do not believe in.
“I am honest in my assessments and will never make my clients have or buy things they do not need.
“I am also focusing on ingredients, as the cosmetic industry is not always scrupulous about what goes into your jar; in fact, some anti-aging products will age you.”
