And the race continues

Caxton Reynolds Race 2013 contestants Kate Rheeders and Jenny Seaton-Smith are still in it to win it.

The two Benoni residents, who are also best friends, are currently in fourth place, but are determined to work hard to win the game.

“Being in fourth place at this stage is not bad for us, as we had a rough start,” said Rheeders.

“Our recovery has been good and we are working well together under stressful circumstances.

“I am enjoying every minute and I’m amazed at how much there is to learn.”

Seaton-Smith added that the race is a lot of fun and that, as an adrenaline junkie, she is certainly getting her fair share.

“We got lost in Brakpan, traipsed through the graveyards in the dark in Elspark and got a workout from running up 73 stairs in Kensington; we can’t wait to see what’s next,” said Seaton-Smith.

The two friends agree that the race is harder than they had initially thought it would be.

“The Springs team is our biggest competitor, but we are also keeping an eye on the Brakpan team,” added Seaton-Smith

“I am not by nature competitive and, since the race began, Jenny has had her hands full with her share of the game as well as keeping me on course,” said Rheeders.

Every Friday at 5pm the Reynolds race teams receive a clue to their next challenge on the looklocal website.
