Ride for a purpose

Cornucopia is calling on Benoni residents and cyclists to cycle for them in the 94.7 Momentum Cycle Challenge - Ride for a Purpose.

The cycle challenge is the world’s second-largest timed cycle annual race, with over 20 000 participants.

The ride for a purpose challenge is when cyclists ride for the charity of their choice, to make a difference.

It will be held on November 17, and the participants are expected to complete a 94.7 kilometres course in and around Johannesburg.

Cornucopia assists the poor, destitute, elderly, children and families from in and around Benoni.

It feeds over 200 families on a daily basis, cares for 10 other charities, provides the needy with clothes and helps families become self-supporting and integrated community members.

All the proceeds raised at the event will go into making a difference.

For more information or to ride for Cornucopia contact Frank Halfeld on 082 418 4473, or Leigh-Ann Hutton on 082 947 5118.
