This area has seen enough of house breaking and robberies.
Last year, residents made headlines in their bit to get the authorities to act.
Resident Tarryn Barrell now says an enclosure could solve the problem and would like to arrange a meeting with other residents.
“The residents on Northmead Extension Four have been complaining bitterly over the past few years about the rise in crime so I went through to a security company to get some advice on actually making our area a gated area but I am still having difficulty receiving responses to the mandates I have put into the residents postboxes,” said Barrell.
She said no money is required when signing a mandate.
“We just want to see how many people are actually interested in having the enclosure before applying,” said Barrell.
Getting enough responses “we will then be able to call a meeting to discuss moving forward with this”.
Residents of Northmead Extension Four residents can contact Barrell 082 886 5040 or tarryn@redhotproducts.co.za for further information or for her to send them a mandate.
