The Benoni SPCA is urging all animal lovers to donate money or goods.
The society takes in more stray animals than usual during the festive season and needs help taking care of them.
This year the society has a Christmas tree on which each contributing person gets to hang a card with their a loved one’s or pet’s name on it.
Donations received will be acknowledged in the City Times on a weekly basis.
There are also Christmas cards available to the public at the Benoni SPCA.
The society is also appealing to the public to donate dry dog food, as they are running low on supplies.
