Benoni Citi celebrates 20 years of success
Benoni Citi Volkswagen celebrated their 20th birthday on September 1.
“We are very happy about reaching 20 years; our dealer group has gone from strength to strength every year,” said Kevin Gillmer, Unitrans VW, Audi and MAN Group CEO.
He added that, as part of their birthday celebration, they are giving away nine VW Polo Vivos and three Audi A1s.

“Customers who buy from and service with our dealership will stand a chance of winning either a Polo Vivo or an Audi A1 every month, for a year,” said Gillmer.
He added that customer satisfaction and the great customer service they offer their clients is what makes their business successful.
“For the next five years we want to maintain our great track record and grow even more,” he said.
Benoni Citi has a long list of accolades to its name and has been a member of Volkswagen’s exclusive Club of Excellence no fewer than 12 times.
The group has also been awarded Group of the Year status on eight occasions, with both Volkswagen and Audi.
The Club of Excellence membership is exclusively awarded to those Volkswagen dealers that excel in new and mastercar vehicle sales, compliance with Volkswagen South Africa’s dealer standards, sales and service customer satisfaction and parts sales.
The organisation has grown tremendously over the past 20 years, from its humble beginnings in a warehouse in Dunswart, before it moved to its current premises at number 1 Main Reef Road, on December 23, 1993.
“When we initially started we were a Dual VW and Audi dealership, but have since complied with the OEM requirement and moved the stand-alone Audi dealership to the East Rand Mall, in Boksburg,” said Gillmer.
There are currently 10 VW dealerships (one commercial), three Audi dealerships and two Man Truck and bus dealerships within the same dealer group as Benoni Citi.
These dealerships are in six of the nine provinces.
Benoni Citi has 69 employees and there are 770 employees within the group.
Two years ago the dealership started the Unite against Poaching initiative, in partnership with Sanparks and the Sanparks honorary rangers and, to date, they have donated over R6.5-million to this cause.
