Come feel at home

If you want to feel at home in a restaurant, the Coffee Shop, 167 Pretoria Road, Rynfield, owned by Jerry Cindi is the place to be.

On December 7, my partner and I did a food crit at the restaurant.

My partner had chicken Alabama while I chose a mushroom burger.

The chicken Alabama consisted of a slice of bread, bacon, 80g of chicken, tomato, melted mozzarella cheese topped with avocado and served with chips on the side.

“It was absolutely delicious; all the flavours came together very nicely,” said my partner.

The mushroom burger, served with chips on the side, was not only filling but also very delicious.

It consisted of a creamy mushroom and cheese sauce, beef patty, lettuce and a slice of tomato.

The cheese and mushroom sauce and the beef patty are both home made.

Jerry is back at the Coffee Shop.

He initially started the Coffee Shop two years ago, but left to explore other opportunities.

“It’s great being back, my heart has always been here,” he said.

“I am very happy and I know all my customers are thrilled about me coming back.”

He added that when a customer pulls up into their parking they automatically become a member of the family, and that is what sets his restaurant apart from all the others.

“I know all my clients’ names and, if I don’t see a client for about two months I start to worry,’ said Jerry.

The Coffee Shop is very spacious and its warm bright colours make one feel relaxed and comfortable.

There is also a large play area outside for children to keep themselves occupied.

“We do not keep stock; we purchase fresh ingredients on a daily basis; I use only free range eggs and chicken,” added Jerry.

He added that the Coffee Shop specialises in fried wraps.

The restaurant has extended its working hours and will now operate from 7am till 9pm, as of December 11 .
