Benoni is all lit up
See beautifully decorated houses around town this festive season.
There are some community members who are adding to the festive atmosphere with their bright Christmas lights:
- 4 Duiker Street, Dewalt Hattingh Park, Mackenzie Park, is illuminated for the festive season.
- St Andrew’s Community Church, on the corner of Miles Sharp and Millburn streets, in Rynfield, will be lit up until December 24. People can walk around in the grounds of the church and free coffee, tea and cooldrink are on offer. Lynne Hugo 011 845 3900 or Penny Donachie 011 849 5320, at the church office .
- 34 Starlight Street, Farrarmere, has lights, a nativity scene and carols playing in the background.
- 139 Honiball Street, Rynfield. If people would like to bring small children into the yard to view the lights up close, they can ring the bell or call Carolyn Botha on 082 443 4423, who welcomes you to arrange a time. The lights are on from approximately 6.30pm to 10.30pm every night.
- 23 Clarke Street, Rynfield. Contact John Mann on 084 626 7028 to be dazzled by Christmas decorations for the public to feast their eyes on.
- Christmas Cottage, 47 Eleventh Avenue, Northmead. The cottage will be “going live” on December 16, at 7.30pm, and Father Christmas and friends from Top Dogs will be visiting on December 20 and 21, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Post a letter, with a stamped self-addressed envelope, to Father Christmas, in the special post-box.
- 1 Sondela Flats, on Bayley Street, Farrarmere, opposite Spar, is looking festive for all to see.
