Artists called to submit work for group exhibition

The City of Ekurhuleni’s Springs Art Gallery calls on artists to submit works for the third edition of the 30|30 Group Art Exhibition”, which highlights the works of 30 professional artists and newcomers.

Entry is free and the deadline for submission is Friday, January 24.

The exhibition will be held from Saturday March 15, until May.

Artists who are interested in participating in the project must send four to five high resolution (300 dpi) images of their work in jpeg format and a maximum 250-word statement/synopsis outlining the central idea of the concept, by email, to thabo.sekoaila@ekurhuleni.gov.za, or nomcebo.sithole@ekurhuleni.gov.za.

All images must include details of the work, such as title, size, medium and the year it was produced.

A single work with all its components may not exceed 150cm x 150cm in any direction.

The final participation will entail one original piece of artwork considered to be an artistic product of an individual.

Submissions will be adjudicated by an art selection panel composed of prominent curators, artists, arts administrators and Springs Art Gallery representatives.
