Attend model aircraft air show
Model aircraft enthusiasts are invited to attend the annual Heinie Warbird Day, on Sunday, April 6.
The event has been running for eight years and will be held at the Barnstormers Model Flying Club, 1km off the Bapsfontein Road.
Event organiser Heinrich Keyser said approximately 1 000 people and 40 pilots are expected, and there will also be hobby shop exhibitors on the day.
People can look forward to seeing a variety of aircraft, some as long as 4m, such as war planes and modern jets.
The aircraft will be flown by members of the Barnstormers Model Flying Club.
The event will be open to the public from 10.30am till 3.30pm.
Entrance is free and refreshments, secure parking, undercover seating and ablution facilities will be available.
