Kon Tiki around the corner
The time is fast approaching for Cubs, Scouts and Rover crews to once again show their worth at the annual Kon Tiki event.
Arrowe Park, in Alphen Park, will for the third year come alive with 1000s of people on the weekend of May 16, 17 and 18.
The event is the biggest Scouting event on the calendar.
Scouting groups from across Gauteng will participate, with a group representative of every Scouting district in Gauteng, including a team from Polokwane.
The groups will be tasked with buildings rafts and setting sail on Homestead Dam on Saturday, for 24 hours.
Many of the groups will also compete on land in cooking contests and other exciting challenges.
This year the theme is ”going green”.
A prize-giving will be held on Sunday.
