Brutal murder: Woman stabbed over 21 times, throat cut
A 42-year-old woman from the Emandleni informal settlement, in Actonville, was found with her throat cut, in a brutal murder which occurred on the eve of Women's Month.

The deceased’s half naked body was found floating in Wattville Dam on the morning of July 31.
Police spokesman Capt Mack Mngomezulu said police were alerted to the incident by a fisherman.
“The deceased was found to have been strangled, her throat had been cut and she had more than 21 stab wounds to her body; she was thrown into the river,” he added.
Police believe the woman was on her way to work when the incident occurred.
Mngomezulu said the police are following up on a link to the murder.
The woman’s boyfriend is a suspect and is on the run.
The motive for the killing is unknown.
Mngomezulu described the incident as “shocking” and called the perpetrator ”heartless”.
