Crystal Park will hold its first Domestic Watch meeting at the Baptist Church, corner Clydesdale Avenue and Concord Road, at noon on August 27.
Making a Difference (MAD), founded by Penny Steyn, initiated the Domestic Watch.
It is a series of interactive monthly meetings aimed at educating domestic workers and staff about crime prevention.
Domestic workers, gardeners and employers are welcome to attend, at a cost of R30 per delegate.
ADT announced that Benoni would be added to the list of 20 suburbs in Johannesburg where these meetings will take place.
“We encourage residents to support the suburb initiative,” said Clive Humphrey, managing director of ADT’s central region.
The first meeting will be presented by Annie Conway.
The duration of the training programme for domestic workers and gardeners will take approximately one hour.
Delegates should arrive 10 minutes early for registration.
