Serious collision leaves woman in critical condition
A woman in her late 20s was transported to hospital in critical condition, following an accident on the N12 east highway, on Wednesday, October 08.
The accident occurred just before 5pm, near the Daveyton off-ramp.
ER24’s Glen Orritt said paramedics arrived on scene and found that two light motor vehicles had collided under the e-toll gantry.
“Witnesses on scene ushered paramedics to the one light motor vehicle, where a woman in her late 20s was found seated in the driver’s seat,” said Orritt.
She was assessed by paramedics and, although conscious, she had suffered suspected internal injuries and was in a serious condition.
“Paramedics stabilised the woman on scene and she was transported to Life the Glynnwood Hospital by ER24 for further care,” said Orritt.
The driver of the other light motor vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
Local authorities were on scene and are investigating further.
