Woman suspected of killing her alleged lesbian partner in Northmead home

Police are looking for a woman who allegedly killed her lesbian lover at a Northmead home.

The body of a 29-year-old woman was found in the yard of the Sixth Avenue home this morning.

Benoni SAPS acting cluster commander Brig Poobalan Subbiah said the victim’s lesbian partner is believed to be behind the death.

Subbiah said the victim and suspect lived as partners in the home.

A person on scene told the City Times this morning that the victim appears to have been severely beaten.

A woman living on Sixth Avenue, close to the house, said the couple were “constantly fighting”, as she often heard a commotion coming from the house on weekends.

She said the pair lived in an outside unit, separate from the main house.

Police are on a hunt for the suspect and forensic services are on scene.

More details will follow as they become available.
