
She was released as there is insufficient evidence tying her to the crime.
The truck and tyres were recovered at a guest house on the corner of Turvey Street and Howard Avenue, Western Extension on Wednesday (February 25).
Benoni SAPS spokesperson Lieut Nomsa Sekele said the woman who was arrested worked at the guest house.
Sekele said the truck is estimated to be worth R1.5-m, while the tyres are worth R800 000.
The vehicle was reported as hijacked in Grootvlei, Mpumalanga yesterday afternoon.
Sekele said the truck was parked in the guest house grounds.
It is unclear how the driver of the truck gained access to the property.
Police are investigating the case.
