Keep the needy warm this winter
Operation Anti Freeze has set a goal of 5 000 blankets to be collected and distributed in Ekurhuleni before winter.

The organisation hosts a monthly soup kitchen at the Shoprite on Voortrekker Road, Kempton Park, where most of the blankets will be handed out to those in need.
Blankets will be distributed at the seven schools which the organisation supports, including Hoërskool Brandwag in Airfield, and they will give out 1 000 blankets to an informal settlement at Old Sallies Mine in Springs.
Blankets can either be dropped off at the office at 41 Trig Road, Kempton Park, or Anti Freeze can arrange for collection.
If schools or businesses want to get involved, Anti Freeze has collection boxes which can be placed on the premises.
These boxes will be collected once they are filled.
Donations are open until the middle of June.
The drive has been in operation since 2 000 and last year 3 000 blankets were collected.
The next soup kitchen will be held on April 1, from 5.15pm till 6.30pm.
