Police make a positive impact on schools

Police discovered a small bag of dagga at Petit High School, during an operation in which four schools were targeted, recently.

Crystal Park High School, Petit High School, Gekombineerde Skool Noorderlig and Jahari Christian Academy were searched.

The operation was conducted by Crystal Park SAPS social crime prevention officer Sgt Lerato Mopeli, sector commanders, the K-9 Unit, Metro police, Putfontein and Daveyton SAPS social crime prevention officers, patrollers and volunteers from the Crystal Park SAPS Trauma Centre.

Mopeli informed pupils about school safety and substance abuse.

She was pleased that no drugs were found at three of the schools, which is an improvement on a previous search.
