These cables were found in two separate areas of the suburb.
The resident, who would like to remain anonymous, brought this to the attention of the City Times, who reported the matter to the Benoni Police Station.
Ward 23’s Clr André du Plessis said: ”Residents can report illegal issues to the SAPS or they can work through their councillor to try to have the issues resolved.”
The SAPS is aware of the issue and the matter is being investigated.
