Beautiful gardens raise thousands

Judy Bath, convener of the Beautiful Gardens of Benoni, said the amount raised was R3 000 down on the previous year.

This was due to a drop in the number of attendees.

“Whatever we get is well spent within the community, so we are delighted with that and grateful for those who attended,” said Bath.

Meanwhile, Bath said a pair of spectacles and a bracelet was found at the tea garden in Lakefield over the weekend while the gardens were on show.
