BCC bowls on top at Ekurhuleni fours tourney
The club's men’s and women’s teams won gold and silver, respectively.
The Benoni Country Club (BCC) Bowls celebrated a major success after its men’s and women’s teams enjoyed impressive outings at the Ekurhuleni Fours Championships, held recently at Lake Club Benoni.
The quartet of Chris Greenwood, Cecil Behrens, Terence Stopforth and Glen Standen won the men’s title, beating Brackenhurst in the final.
Meanwhile, Shaney Collard, Issie Standen, Shirley van Niekerk and Karen Thomas secured silver in the women’s competition after losing to hosts Lake Club in the final.
