Decomposed body found near Daveyton Road
The decomposed body of an unknown man, believed to be in his mid-30s, was found in an open veld close to Daveyton Road.
The body was found on February 17, at about 8.45am.
According to the Benoni SAPS spokesperson, Lieut Nomsa Sekele, the body was found by someone who was passing through the veld.
“The deceased was wearing a long sleeve striped T-shirt with blue jeans and grasshopper shoes,” said Sekele.
The cause of death is unknown.
An inquest docket was opened at the Benoni Police Station.
The Benoni SAPS are requesting members of the community, who may have information to help identify the man, to come to the police station or contact the Benoni detectives on 011 747 0027/0059.
