Eleven dead in bus accident
Survivors of the accident in which 11 ANC supporters were killed and 59 injured, claim the bus drivers were switching positions while the bus was in motion when the accident occurred.

The bus was travelling from Port Elizabeth to Ekurhuleni when it overturned on the N1 highway between Ventersburg and Winburg, in the Free State on Sunday (April 17).
The executive mayor of , Clr Mondli Gungubele, visited the accident scene later that day.
Gungubele passed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the survivors a speedy recovery.
The Minister of Transport, Dipuo Peters wished those admitted to hospital a speedy recovery and enjoined the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) to immediately commence with the investigations into the cause of the incident.
The City of Ekurhuleni established a Joint Operation Centre (JOC) near Katlehong to coordinate information regarding the accident.
