Crystal Park Police Station acting communications officer, Tryna Maritz, said the victim was shot at a business property on Birch Road, Benoni Agricultural Holdings at around 3.40pm.
“After he walked to the vehicle, he was transported by someone he knew to Netcare Linmed Hospital,” said ER24 paramedic Sanjay Sukdeo.
“He was shot once at the back of his head.
“His injuries were considered moderate and he was stable when leaving.”
It is believed that three armed suspects robbed the company while the victim and three other people were inside.
Maritz could not say what was stolen.
Police are on the lookout for the suspects who are allegedly driving a blue Citroen.
