Benoni electricity should be restored by this afternoon

Electricity should be restored to parts of Benoni within seven hours, according to Ward 28 councillor Malanie Haggard.

She said Lakefield, parts of Lakefield Extension 21, Westdene and surrounding areas are without electricity.

The interruption is apparently due to the theft of two feeder cables in Farrarmere.
