Horticultural society still leaves its mark
The Benoni Horticultural Society celebrated its near 70-year existence with a luncheon at Summer Place in Boksburg on November 19.
The day also served as a year-end gathering of the society’s members.

Stephen Rehbock of the Benoni Horticultural Society said the organisation is like a tree.
“Hopefully we can keep the tree alive for many, many years,” he told the 20-odd people present, adding that the society is deeply rooted in Benoni.
The avid gardeners meet once a month at Four Seasons Nursery in Fairleads.
