Benoni High School walked away with 16 awards at this year’s Ekurhuleni North District Teaching Awards.

The event was held at the Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre on February 9.
The school placed first in English, mathematics, mathematical literacy, physical sciences, life sciences, geography and economics.
Principal Eugene Rooyakkers also received the award for second best principal in the district.
