Pug Rescue plans sterilisation campaign
The Steri Campaign aims to give people who would not otherwise be able to sterilise their dog or cat an opportunity to do so.
Pug Rescue South Africa plans to sterilise at least 67 pets for Mandela Day, on July 20 and 21.
The Steri Campaign aims to give people who would not otherwise be able to sterilise their dog or cat an opportunity to do so.
The Thanda Inja Community Outreach Project, which is a Pug Rescue SA initiative, will benefit individuals who earn less than R5 000 a month, such as:
• unemployed people (UIF documents need to be produced)
• state pensioners (proof required).
Dogs will be sterilised for R167 and cats, for R267. Vaccinations will be charged at R67.

Proof of income is required and pet owners need to transport their own pet to and from the facility and be present pre- and post-operation.
The campaign will be held at Pug Rescue, 80/1 Nielsen Road, Benoni North Agricultural Holdings.
Book by July 2. The sterilisations will be done on a first come, first served basis.
