
The Ekurhuleni metro, in partnership with Tshimong, invites all public schools in Ekurhuleni to enter the Ekurhuleni Debating Challenge.
The tournament aims to develop public speaking and critical thinking skills of learners in Grades Eight to12.
The debates will take place at host schools, and will run every weekend of September in two categories – juniors (Grades Eight and Nine) and seniors (Grades 10 to 12).

The finals will take place on October 27 in honour of Oliver Tambo, the late former ANC leader.
The prizes include R5 000 cash for the winning junior school and R10 000 cash prize for the senior school.
