City Times not involved in local event
The City Times has no association or affiliation with the event.
It has come to the attention of Benoni City Times that our logo has been used on an event flyer to which we have no affiliation.
The Mr and Miss High School pageant is apparently taking place on September 29 at the Actonville Community Hall.
Benoni City Times is depicted as one of the event’s sponsors/endorsers.
This is not the case.
Benoni City Times is not involved in the event in any way and was not involved in the pre-planning of the event. No employee from our publication will be involved in or provide coverage of the event. We would like to thank our readers for their understanding in this regard.
The event organisers have since confirmed their usage of our logo was unauthorised. They have agreed to remove it and that the public record is set straight by close of business today.
