BFS arrests two for being in possession of drugs

Two of the three suspects were arrested in Benoni.

Two people were arrested for being in possession of nyaope over the weekend and are expected to appear in court soon.

“Two suspects were found in Kemston Avenue allegedly with nyaope,” said Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) WO Grant Giblin.

“They were arrested immediately and the drugs confiscated.”

In further policing, BFS arrested a suspect in Kempton Park.

“One suspect was arrested after members on patrol in Pretoria Road, Kempton Park, at the train station, saw a man being chased by the community,” Giblin explained.

“They were informed that he had allegedly stabbed a victim.

“He was arrested immediately and a knife seized while the victim was transported to hospital.”

The three suspects, aged between 24 and 37, will be appearing soon in the local Magistrate’s Courts facing charges of possession of drugs and attempted murder.
