A man was arrested for drug possession on December 8 when EMPD Equestrian Unit members conducted high visibility patrols in the Benoni CBD and around shopping centres.
“In the process of stop and searches, officers noticed a suspicious-looking man in a vehicle in Bunyan Street, driving out of what is regarded as a notorious drug-dealing area,” said EMPD Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.

“The man was stopped at 9.30am and a ziplock bag of Cat (methcathinone) valued at R200 was found on him.”
