A speedy recovery of a stolen vehicle was well received by the owner of a Toyota Hino truck after EMPD Equestrian Unit members recovered the vehicle in just two hours.
“The truck was stolen on the morning of January 9 at around 6am in Chloorkop, Midrand,” said EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.

“A vehicle tracking company relayed a message to the EMPD Equestrian Unit members who responded immediately, picking the signal of the vehicle’s movements up in Pretoria Road.
“The driver was arrested.”
“A 40-year-old man was detained at the Crystal Park Police Station charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle,” he said.
