EMPD's acting Chief Supt Kobeli Mokheseng explained the consequences of not adhering to the speed limits.

Spokesperson for the EMPD acting Chief Supt Kobeli Mokheseng reminds the public of the following speed limits:

• 60km/h in built-up areas

• 100km/h outside built-up areas

• 120km/h on freeways.

He explained the consequences for not adhering to the speed limits include being liable for a fine from R400 upwards or arrest.

No admission of guilt is applicable for driving 30km/h over the prescribed speed limit.
