AfriForum Benoni’s mass patrol a success

A total of 41 patrollers in 18 vehicles logged a marathon of 246 hours and covered a combined distance of 1 530km of patrols around Benoni to keep the community safe.

AfriForum Benoni conducted a mass patrol on March 13 as part of the organisation’s national mass patrol initiative aimed at increasing visibility and crime prevention.

Chairperson Archie Mouyis said the patrol was a resounding success with no serious incidents reported by the teams that patrolled throughout Benoni on that evening.

“The support our AfriForum team received was phenomenal. It was gratifying to see so many teams come together with other role players to stand up against crime as one,” said Mouyis.

“We would like to thank everyone who participated and for making the time to join us.”

Mouyis said they would further like to make a special mention of thanks to PnP Oakfields, PHP/Mamba Security, Bad Boyz Security and ER 24 for their contribution, participation, and support.
