She joined the Etwatwa SAPS in 2009 as a client service centre officer and then worked as a victim empowerment coordinator.
The 37-year-old said during her field training she enjoyed working in the client service centre because she was able to interact with community members.
“After two years at the station I was then appointed as a sector manager for sector four in the area and I served in that position for about three years,” she said.
Later on, she was moved from being a sector manager to a social crime prevention coordinator.
Maluleka said the community can expect continuous effective and efficient communication on behalf of the station to improve community relations.
“I will also organise and co-ordinate community events, public presentations, exhibitions and also promote and maintain a good relationship between the SAPS, the community and other stakeholders.”
