Daveyton charity organisation grateful for donations

The organisation prepares soup, vegetables, and bread or pap daily by feeding more than 50 children and adults daily.

The Move One Million (MOM) movement donated groceries, toys, clothes, and a chest freezer to a Daveyton charity organisation (Stand-Up Committee) on October 3.

The Round Table Golden East 181 club donated 500 hot dogs on the day.

Donations were handed over to the charity organisation during a fun day for the children in the area at Sinaba Stadium.

The MOM movement seeks to unite all South Africans against the scourge of corruption.

The co-founder of the Stand-Up Committee, Nsizwa Mahlangu, said they were grateful for the donations and at least they don’t have to worry about food for the next six months.

He said a special thank you goes to Sarah Barkley, who identified their organisation and made them meet the representatives of the MOM movement.

“May God bless them so they can continue to assist others who need help in our country,” he said.

Robby Pietropaolo, who is one of the representatives of the MOM movement, said it is necessary to partner with the charity organisation to serve the community members.

Sarah Barkley identified Stand- Up Committee as an organisation that needs assistance because they are doing good in their community by aiding underprivileged people, especially children.
