Bring-A-Thing delayed but not denied

The initiative is usually hosted on Mandela Day on July, but this year it took place on September 29.

Covid-19 may have caused several events to be cancelled, but the annual Hospice East Rand Bring-A-Thing initiative was not going to be one of them.

The initiative is usually hosted on Mandela Day on July 18, but this year it took place on September 29.

“St Dunstan’s College is an annual supporter of this initiative,” said Hospice marketing and media liaison Jonquil Siepman.

“Our Bring-A-Thing initiative encourages community members to donate unwanted household items and furniture to Hospice for resale in our 10 charity shops situated in the East Rand.

“As part of a Spring Clean initiative, St Dunstan’s College staff and learners took to their cupboards for household items to donate to Hospice and their support was overwhelming.”
