A Daveyton charity organisation is asking for donations to keep their soup kitchen going.

Daveyton Stand-Up Committee prepares soup, vegetables and bread or pap so they can feed about 50 residents who are in need within the community, twice a week.

Founder of the organisation Nsizwa Mahlangu said it is so important in these difficult times because they see that a lot of families are in need.

“So, any donations that we can get will go a long way and we appreciate everyone that has helped us make this possible each week,” said Mahlangu.

The organisation will appreciate donations of jam, butter, peanut butter, mealie meal, rice, samp, vegetables, canned food and soup bones.

Donations may be dropped off at 4437 Mpondo Street, Daveyton, or call Mahlangu on 065 598 0752 or Morningstar Nkosi on 076 763 0910.
