Benoni CFP Sector Two hosts blood drive
CPF members and the community rolled up their sleeves in celebration of Human Rights Day by donating blood and, therefore, potentially saving a life.
The Benoni CPF Sector Two and SANBS hosted a blood drive on March 22 at Northmead Square.
CPF members and the community rolled up their sleeves in celebration of Human Rights Day by donating blood and, therefore, potentially saving a life.
Terrence Pillay, the spokesperson for SANBS, said they hope this will be an ongoing partnership with the Benoni CPF to ensure the SANBS has sufficient blood for the community.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic, it was difficult for us to ensure we have enough blood stock,” said Pillay.
“Now that we are back on level one and planned surgeries are going ahead, the need and demand for blood have increased.
“We thank the CPF Sector Two for partnering with us,” said Pillay.
Benoni CPF Sector Two PRO Audrey Steyn said as the CPF they see a lot of people who are involved in, for example, a car accident and needs blood urgently.
“This will be an ongoing partnership and we are challenging all Benoni CPF members to donate blood.”
